The Orphan of Mecca
Born in 570 CE, Muhammad (PBUH) was known as 'Al-Amin' (The Trustworthy) long before prophethood. He lost his father before birth and his mother at age six, growing up under the care of his grandfather and uncle.
The Call to Prophethood
At age 40, disturbed by the ignorance of society, he retreated to the Cave of Hira. There, Angel Jibreel appeared with the first revelation: "Read!" (Iqra). This marked the beginning of his 23-year mission to call humanity back to One God.
The Migration (Hijrah)
After 13 years of persecution in Mecca, the Muslims migrated to Medina. This event marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar and the establishment of the first Islamic state, based on justice and brotherhood.
The Conquest of Mecca
In 8 AH, the Prophet returned to Mecca not as a conqueror, but as a merciful liberator. He forgave his greatest enemies, destroying the idols in the Kaaba and restoring it to the worship of Allah alone.
